Mesothelioma Metastasis

After mesothelioma spreads to the lymph nodes, metastasis occurs not long after. The lymphatic system allows the cancerous cells to spread throughout the body quickly. Metastasis is aggressive and rapid.
Although metastatic cancer is treatable, treatment is mainly palliative to improve quality of life rather than extending it. Chemotherapy can slow metastasis down and help ease symptoms.
